You chose on October the 20th to make #OpBigBrother voice surround worldwide to inform people about the threatens of surveillance systems on their Freedom.
We are now in times when stakes about both individual and common liberties are critical.
Smack in the middle of an economic and social crisis, we have adjourned our attention about those matters, we forgot such atmospheres often lead to threatens on our fundamental Rights.
We call you once again to act against systems of the almighty Surveillance State.
You noticed, how many efforts governments deploy to mark and spy people worldwide.
They plan to use technology to know everything about citizens including : who is who, who do what and with whom, as well in real life and the Internet.
Moreover, our governments are about to demolish Privacy with Systems like Trapwire and Indect.
Those network surveillance technologies sniff the CCTV cameras, government databases and the Internet to identify people and make a profile of citizens, their families and their socializing. Governments also want to silence us with projects like cleanIT. They are planning to take control of the internet using Deep Packet Inspection engines like CAS system. They work with lobbies to install censorship with laws like ACTA, CETA, SOPA, PIPA or CISPA.
Governments pretend to design those systems for security reasons, but every people able to access and understand information on those matters should stand up against a society of global control on the citizens that is being drawn.
Included in the global action of Anonymous, #OpBigBrother is working to inform populations on systems designed to watch and control them !
It's time to act, it's time to show the governments of the World, who we are, it's time to show humanity stands as united, it is time to show what freedom means to us.
We call you to prepare for the next Worldwide Day of Action against surveillance planned for December the 8th 2012. A way to make it successful is to follow a few advises to awake people, and make them join.

Zahlreiche Forschungsprojekte entwickeln Werkzeuge, um die Überwachung und Kontrolle des öffentlichen Raums technisch aufzurüsten. Polizeibehörden können hochauflösende Satellitensysteme nutzen, die durch Spionageflugzeuge und Drohnen ergänzt werden. Mittels sogenannter „Mustererkennung" werden Daten aus der Videoüberwachung ausgewertet, um verdächtiges Verhalten oder Geräusche zu detektieren. Bodengestützte Sensoren sollen Stoffe aufspüren, die zur Herstellung von Spreng- oder Brandsätzen genutzt werden können und wie Drogen in kleinsten Spuren nachweisbar sind. Mit dieser Suche nach „Gaswolken" wird auch der Alkoholgehalt in der Atemluft über Menschenansammlungen gemessen. Das Portfolio der computergestützten Bespitzelung wird durch Soft- und Hardware ergänzt, um alle Arten digitaler Kommunikation auszuforschen.

Die beschriebenen Anwendungen bieten weit mehr Funktionalitäten, wenn deren gelieferte Informationen miteinander verknüpft werden. Mit einem sogenannten „Sensorverbund" können sich Geheimdienste und Polizeien ein umfangreiches Lagebild verschaffen, um stets über die Informationshoheit zu verfügen. Diese Plattformen werden insbesondere für Fußballspiele, G8-Gipfel, Wahlen, Großdemonstrationen oder „royal weddings" zugeschnitten.

Doch die „Systems of Systems" versprechen nicht nur Analysen gegenwärtiger oder vergangener Ereignisse. Statistische Verfahren sollen Polizeien in die Lage versetzen, Kriminalität und abweichendes Verhalten vorherzusagen. Hersteller bewerben dies als „Evolution in der Verbrechensbekämpfung". Dieses sogenannte „Data Mining" wird von Datenschützer/innen scharf angegriffen.

Häufig greift die Kritik an der Forschung zur technischen Aufrüstung des Sicherheitsapparates aber zu kurz. Datenschutzrechtliche Argumente werden damit gekontert, dass die Forschungsprojekte keine echten Daten verarbeiten. Viele der beforschten Werkzeuge erfüllen jedoch im Polizeialltag Kriterien einer Rasterfahndung, wenn nämlich Daten von Personen und Sachen miteinander in Beziehung gesetzt werden.

In dem Panel „Strategien der vernetzten Überwachung" wollen wir daher ausloten, wie es angesichts der digitalen, technischen Aufrüstung um Datenschutz und Bürgerrechte bestellt ist.

Die Schufa will zusammen mit dem renommierten Hasso-Plattner-Institut für Softwaresystemtechnik Daten von Millionen Internetnutzern sammeln. Auch Datenschützer schlagen Alarm. Die Schufa muss völlige Transparenz herstellen. Auch Verbraucherschutzministerin Ilse Aigner forderte rasche Aufklärung. Gegenüber der Frankfurter Rundschau sagte sie: „Die Schufa darf nicht zum Big Brother des Wirtschaftslebens werden." Von Grünen, Linkspartei und Piraten kam ebenfalls scharfe Kritik. „Wir sind besorgt, dass hier Unfug getrieben wird", sagte Markus Beckedahl, Vorsitzender des Vereins Digitale Gesellschaft. Ein gutes Beispiel für die Pläne der Schufa liefert der Kreditscoringservice Lenddo. Wer einen Kredit erhalten will, braucht drei Facebook-Freunde, deren Kreditwürdigkeit von Lenddo ebenfalls als ausreichend eingestuft wurde. Zahlt einer der Freunde seinen Kredit nicht zurück, sinkt die Kreditwürdigkeit all seiner Kontakte. Hiermit fordern wir, die Bewegung Anonymous, die Schufa auf, von ihren Plänen abzusehen.
